Historical United Nations Security Council

The Yugoslav Wars

Insurgencies, wars of independence and conflict between ethnic groups make up what we call the Yugoslav Wars. From the the Ten-Day War (Slovenian War of Independence), the Croatian War of Independence and the Bosnian War, to the breakup of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia amid this bloodshed, the Yugoslav Wars comprise what is described as Europe's deadliest conflicts since World War II. Our historical United Nations Security Council meeting on The Yugoslav Wars will focus on the political settlement of the conflicts from the former Yugoslavia in the aftermath of armed conflict and the signing of the Dayton Agreement.

Fabiana Kawakami

Co-Director

Hi everyone! My name is Fabiana Kawakami, though everyone calls me Kami, and I am from Lima, Peru. I am currently in my fourth year studying Communications at the Universidad de Lima, pursuing a double major in Corporate Communication, as well as Publicity and Marketing. I have been seriously involved in Model United Nations over the past six years of my life, participating in countless MUN Conferences. The UNSC has always been my favorite and I hope it'll become yours too!

Fabiana

Santiago Felix

Co-Director

Hello! My name is Santiago, I am 20 years old, I am in the last year of International Relations at the Australian National University. I have been doing MUN for six years, in which I have debated and directed at various national and international conferences. In this ISDMUN, and therefore in this UNSC, be sure that you will find a super fun, competitive and demanding debate in which you can push yourself to new limits and demonstrate your skills before and during the conference. We, the dias, will be in our 'A game' to be able to offer you the best experience and we hope you are just as energetic and creative. Thank you ISD for inviting me to chair this committee!
See you soon.

Edwar Muñoz

Crisis Director

Hello, everyone! I'm very glad to meet you, I am Edwar Muñoz and I will have the honor to serve as your crisis room in this edition of ISDMUN. I started my history in Model UN in the first months of 2019, having the opportunity to participate in various conferences, representing my school at first, later joining Independent Students' Delegation, with now being always looking for new opportunities to enjoy this passion of mine. Remember that I am always at your disposal and always be there to solve any doubt or questions. I hope that we can have an amazing time together, but most importantly, you can learn and grow as delegates.
We'll be meeting soon, best of luck.

I am interested in reading about philosophy, behavioral economics, and literature.
